A.P.U. Udine
Pallalcesto Amatori Udine, better known by the sponsorship name Snaidero Udine, was an Italian professional basketball club based in Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia. In 2011, following the dissolution of the club, a new team, APU Udine, was founded. History Associazione Pallacanestro Udinese (APU) was founded in 1944. It wasn't a particularly notable organisation until businessman Rino Snaidero (head of the Snaidero Cucine kitchen furniture company) became the owner in 1965. With his backing the club, now known as Snaidero Udine, reached the first division Lega Basket Serie A, Serie A in 1968. A new arena, named Palasport Primo Carnera after the boxer of that name, was built in 1970. Matteo Boniciolli
Matteo Boniciolli (born 18 April 1962) is an Italian basketball coach of Scafati Basket in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). He has been a head coach since 1999, guiding several clubs in Italy and abroad to titles, also having taken charge of the Italy national basketball team, Italian national team (as an assistant) and the Kazakhstan national basketball team, Kazakhstan national team. Coaching career The Trieste native started his career in his home town with local clubs, as assistant coach or in charge of youth squads. In the same city he encountered Bogdan Tanjević, who would help him join the Italy national basketball team, Italian national team setup as coach of the Under-17 team and assistant coach of the senior side. Cesare Pancotto
Cesare Pancotto (born January 8, 1955) is an Italian professional basketball coach. Coaching career After a good career spent playing point guard in his native Porto San Giorgio, Pancotto began coaching in 1982 at the age of 27, taking the bench of his hometown team, U.S. Sangiorgese, at only three matches from the end of the season, gaining promotion to Serie B. In 1984 Sangiorgese, always guided by Pancotto, was promoted to A2, the Italian Second Division. The coach remained in Porto San Giorgio until 1986, coaching two seasons in A2 avoiding in both cases the relegation. In the 1986-1987 season he arrived in Reggio Emilia. Then, he coached for two years Forlì, for a year Dinamo Sassari and for three years Olimpia Pistoia: in Tuscany he obtained the first of three promotion to A1, the top Italian League. Sasha Vujačić
Aleksander "Sasha" Vujačić ( sr-Cyrl, Александар Саша Вујачић; ; often rendered in English as without diacritics; born March 8, 1984) is a Slovenian former professional basketball player. He was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the 2004 NBA draft with the 27th overall pick. In the 2007–08 season, Vujacic set the Lakers record for the best three-point field goal percentage (.437) in a single season. In the 2009 and 2010 seasons, he won the NBA championship with the Lakers. Vujacic is also a two-time Turkish Basketball League All-Star and a Turkish Basketball League MVP. Damir Mulaomerović
Damir Mulaomerović (born 19 September 1974) is a Croatian professional basketball coach and former player who is the current coach of KK Dinamo Zagreb. Professional career Mulaomerović started his career with Sloboda Dita in 1990. Not too long after the start of the Bosnian War, he fled to Zagreb and where he joined Cibona Zagreb. Mulaomerović played there until the end of the 1997–1998 season. He left Cibona, to join Fortitudo Bologna. He also played with Real Madrid. In Greece, he left a big mark. Michele Antonutti (born 19 February 1986) is an Italian people, Italian former professional basketball player. He played at the small forward position. Professional career Michele Antonutti's turning point of his player's career coincided with the move in 2002 to Snaidero Udine, where he played for eight years in ULEB Cup, Italian Basketball Cup and Italian Playoffs. College career Alexander played junior college basketball at the Hutchinson Community College before moving to the University of Alabama, where he graduated in 1998. 2002–03 ULEB Cup
The 2002–03 ULEB Cup was the inaugural season of Europe's secondary level professional club basketball tournament, the ULEB Cup, which is organised by Euroleague Basketball. The 2003 ULEB Cup Finals were played between Pamesa Valencia and Krka, and won by Valencia, their first title in a European-wide competition. As the winners of the 2002–03 ULEB Cup, Valencia qualified for the European top-tier level 2003–04 Euroleague. Team allocation A total of 24 teams from 10 countries, instead of the initial 32, participated in the 2002–03 ULEB Cup. 2001–02 FIBA Saporta Cup
The 2001–02 FIBA Saporta Cup was the thirty-sixth edition of FIBA's 2nd-tier level European-wide professional club basketball competition. It was the last edition of the tournament. It took place between 30 October 2001 and 30 April 2002. The final was held at Lyon, France. Competition system * 24 teams (national domestic cup champions, plus the best qualified teams in the most important European national domestic leagues), entered a preliminary group stage, divided into four groups of six teams each, playing a round-robin.
