A.P.C. Chions
Associazione Polisportiva Dilettantistica Comunale Chions, or simply APC Chions, is an Italian association football club located in Chions, Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It currently plays in Eccellenza. History APC Chions was born on a day in June 1972. In the Zaghis room, in the presence of the Mayor of the time Olga Verardo and eighty members, the power of an idea becomes reality. The notarial deed of incorporation registers as founding members Gerardo Bertolo, Ermanno Bianchi, Luciano Bressan, Sergio Cusin, Giorgio Nardo and Mario Scacco. The first president of the new team is Ermanno Bianchi. Over time, Giuseppe Bressan, Cesare Santin, Carlo Gobat, Luciano Bressan, Bruno Lena, Primo Beraldo, Renato Bressan and Mauro Bressan follow one another. Chions ( Western Friulian: ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Pordenone in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about northwest of Trieste and about southeast of Pordenone. Promozione
The Promozione (, "promotion") is the sixth level in the Italian football league system. Each individual league winner within the Promozione level progresses to their closest regional league in the Eccellenza level. Depending on each league's local rules, a number of teams each year are relegated from each league, to the 7th level of Italian football, the Prima Categoria. This level of Italian football is completely amateur and is run on a regional level. Eccellenza Friuli-Venezia Giulia is the regional Eccellenza football division for clubs in the northern Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. It is competed amongst 16 teams, in one group. Promotion And Relegation
In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. In some leagues, playoffs or qualifying rounds are also used to determine rankings. This process can continue through several levels of divisions, with teams being exchanged between adjacent divisions. The Serie D () is the top level of semi-professional football in the country. The fourth tier of the Italian league system, the competition sits beneath the third professional league, Serie C.
