The third and final season of the American television series ''Jessica Jones (TV series), Jessica Jones'', which is based on the Marvel Comics character Jessica Jones, of the same name, follows Jessica Jones (Marvel Cinematic Universe), Jones as she teams up with Alisa Jones (Marvel Cinematic Universe), her mother's killer, Trish Walker (Marvel Cinematic Universe), Trish Walker, to take down a highly intelligent psychopath until a devastating loss reveals conflicting ideals that pits them against each other. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with List of Marvel Cinematic Universe films, the films and other Marvel's Netflix television series, television series of the franchise. The season is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios and Tall Girls Productions, with Melissa Rosenberg and Scott Reynolds (writer), Scott Reynolds serving as showrunners. Melissa Rosenberg
Melissa Anne Rosenberg is an American television writer, television producer, and screenwriter. She has worked in both film and television and has won a Peabody Award. She has also been nominated for two Emmy Awards, and two Writers Guild of America Awards. Since joining the Writers Guild of America, she has been involved in its board of directors and was a strike captain during the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike. She supports female screenwriters through the WGA Diversity Committee and co-founded the League of Hollywood Women Writers. She worked on several television series between 1993 and 2003 before joining ''The O.C.''s writing staff, eventually leaving the show to write the 2006 film ''Step Up (film), Step Up''. From 2006 to 2009, she served as the head writer of the Showtime (TV network), Showtime series ''Dexter (TV series), Dexter'', rising to executive producer by the time she departed at the end of the fourth season.
