A.J.E.F.
A.J.E.F. or Asociación de Jóvenes Esperanza de la Fraternidad (Association of Youth Hope of the Fraternity) is an appendant body to Freemasonry for youth aged 14–21 in Cuba, México, and Latin America. Initially its local organizations were named Lodges (Logias AJEF), but have been renamed as ''Talleres'' (workshops) in order to emphasize that A.J.E.F. is not Masonry, but an appendant body. Each ''Taller'' is sponsored by a Masonic Lodge, in both economic and moral support. It is similar in focus and function to the Order of DeMolay, albeit with stronger ties to Freemasonry. Structural organization Originally there was a body named "Consejo Central AJEF" (AJEF Central Council) as a superior body that supervised and organized, and it was conformed by active members of the A.J.E.F. Order Of DeMolay
DeMolay International is a youth leadership organization with Masonic origins for young men ages 12 to 21. There is in select areas a "Squire" program for those younger than 12. It was founded in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1919 and named for Jacques de Molay, the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar. DeMolay was incorporated in the 1990s and is classified by the IRS as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. DeMolay is open for membership to young men between the ages of 12 and 21 who acknowledge a higher spiritual power. It has about 12,000 active members spread throughout every continent except for Antarctica. Benito Pablo Juárez García (; 21 March 1806 – 18 July 1872) was a Mexican politician, military commander, and lawyer who served as the 26th president of Mexico from 1858 until his death in office in 1872.
