Armundo Dreisbach Condo (September 19, 1872 in Freeport, Illinois – 24 August 1956 in Albany, California) was an American cartoonist best known as the creator of the comic strip ''The Outbursts of Everett True''. History Condo first joined the newspaper industry in the 1880s, working as a printer's devil. In 1896, the '' Toledo News'' hired him as an editorial cartoonist as a direct response to the William Jennings Bryan presidential campaign. August Derleth
August William Derleth (February 24, 1909 – July 4, 1971) was an American writer and anthologist. He was the first book publisher of the writings of H. P. Lovecraft. He made contributions to the Cthulhu Mythos and the Lovecraftian horror, cosmic horror genre and helped found Arkham House, a publishing company which did much to introduce hardcover prints of United Kingdom supernatural fiction works to the United States. Derleth was also a leading American American literary regionalism, regional writer of his day, as well as prolific in several other genres, including historical fiction, poetry, detective fiction, science fiction, and biography. Notably, he created the fictional detective Solar Pons, a pastiche of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes.
