A-Leagues All Star Game
The Australian Professional Leagues, officially abbreviated to the APL, and sometimes referred to as the A-Leagues, are the governing body for the A-League Men, A-League Women, A-League Youth and E-League (Australia), E-League. Since their formation, they have been mostly independent of Football Australia, but remain under their umbrella. The APL has rebranded various aspects of the professional leagues, including renaming and redesigning the logos for the men's, women's, and youth leagues. A Melbourne Derby match during the 2022–23 A-League Men soccer season took place between Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory on 17 December 2022 at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium, in Melbourne, Australia. The match was abandoned in the 22nd minute after several incidents of hooliganism took place both on and off the field - this was the first time in A-League history in which a match was abandoned. Throughout the match, supporters of both teams both ignited and threw flares. In the 20th minute, the match was interrupted due to flares being ignited and thrown onto the pitch, two of which had been thrown by Melbourne Victory supporters. Craig Alexander Goodwin (born 16 December 1991) is an Australian professional soccer player as a left winger for Adelaide United and the Australian national team. Antony William Paul Sage, known as Tony Sage (born 26 June 1960), is a Western Australian businessman who was also the owner of A-League football club Perth Glory. Biography Born in Gloucester, England, on 26 June 1960, Sage moved with his parents to Australia in 1969, residing first in Adelaide, then Melbourne and Sydney before again moving to New Zealand with his mother and father in 1975.
