The album features selections from the score by Charles Fox and the theme song, "9 to 5", written and recorded by Dolly Parton. ''9 to 5'' is an American television sitcom based on the 1980 film of the same name that aired on ABC from March 25, 1982, to October 27, 1983, and in first-run syndication from September 13, 1986, to March 26, 1988.
