91.3 SportFM (ACMA callsign: 6WSM) is an Australian sport-formatted community radio station in Western Australia. Established in 2003, the station broadcasts in the , from studios in Hamilton Hill alongside Radio Fremantle. History The station first began test broadcasts in 2003, under a Temporary Community Broadcasting Licence timeshared with Capital Radio, now Capital 101.7FM. Following the allocation of the 90.5FM frequency to Capital, and another licence to Noongar Radio on 100.9FM, the station ceased transmission. Following further test transmissions on 101.7 FM, the station secured a full-time community licence for the Fremantle RA1 area, also served by Radio Fremantle. The station launched at 12:00 am on 2 February 2010. Hamilton Hill, Western Australia
Hamilton Hill is a suburb of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, located southwest the central business district. Its local government area is the City of Cockburn. History The earliest known settler at Hamilton Hill was Sydney Smith, the agent of Captain George Robb. Robb arrived in Western Australia in 1830 and took up land south of Fremantle. During the next twelve months Smith was actively engaged in establishing Robb's farm. In a letter dated 27 August 1830, he gives his address as Hamilton Hill. The origin of the name, and whether it was Robb or Smith who did the naming, remains uncertain but the area has been known as such ever since. In 1860 Charles Alexander Manning bought of Robb's land, and six years later built Davilak House for his son Lucius Manning. Ashleigh Nelson (field Hockey)
Ashleigh Jayne Nelson (born 5 March 1987 in Narrogin) is an Australian hockey player, a striker for the Australia women's national field hockey team. Nelson made her international debut in 2007 against Japan and by the end of her career she had played 205 games for Australia, scoring 69 international goals and awarded Australian Highest Goal scorer twice. She has played in many international tournaments, including the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, where she secured a field goal from lying on the ground as well as a penalty flick. Wayne Maxwell Clark (born 19 September 1953) is a former Australian cricketer who played in 10 Test matches and two One Day Internationals between 1977 and 1979. Playing career Born in Perth, Western Australia, Clark made his first-class debut for Western Australia in 1974–75 and replaced fellow fast bowler Mick Malone for a game in 1975–76. Kimberley John Hughes (born 26 January 1954) is a former cricketer who played for Western Australia, Natal and Australia. He captained Australia in 28 Test matches between 1979 and 1984 before captaining a rebel Australian team in a tour of South Africa, a country which at the time was subject to a sporting boycott opposing apartheid. It broadcasts a sports radio format to Melbourne, and to much of Victoria through various repeater stations.
