Radio Broadcasting
Radio broadcasting is the broadcasting of audio signal, audio (sound), sometimes with related metadata, by radio waves to radio receivers belonging to a public audience. Hawkesbury Radio
Hawkesbury Radio, is a Radio station which broadcasts via the Internet and is situated in the Hawkesbury Area. The station is staffed by volunteers Hawkesbury Radio was the only Community Radio Station in Australia to have Broadcast rights of NRL which featured Penrith Panthers NRL matches, from 1997 to 2009. In 2016 the station gained broadcast rights to Western Sydney Wanderers A-League matches as well as W-League, National Youth League and FFA Cup matches involving the Wanderers Hawkesbury Radio began in 1978 with a test broadcast, gaining its full licence in 1982, one of the first local community radio licences granted. The station broadcast out of a tiny condemned building, which housed the studio and transmitter on Fitzgerald Street Windsor for many years, before moving to its current site in 1992 in an adjacent building. CBTK-FM is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts the programming of the CBC Radio One network in Kelowna, British Columbia. The station broadcasts at 88.9 FM in Kelowna. History The station was launched in 1987. Prior to its launch, CBC Radio programming aired in Kelowna on private affiliate CKOV 630 in the AM band, while most of its other transmitters were rebroadcasters of Vancouver's CBU. Local programming CBTK produces its own local morning show, ''Daybreak South'' with Chris Walker, as well as a local afternoon show, ''Radio West'' with Sarah Penton, which airs across the whole interior of British Columbia. 89 FM (ZYC 428) is a Brazilian radio station based in Fortaleza, Ceará, and licensed to Aquiraz. It is part of the group of companies called Grupo Cidade de Comunicação, and is a music radio station with a regional format. History The 89.9 MHz frequency was launched in Fortaleza by Grupo Cidade de Comunicação in 1996, broadcasting as Capital FM. The station was launched as a popular music radio station, with an emphasis on romantic songs, and its slogan was "A capital do amor" ("The capital of love"). The format lasted for a year, until the station was leased by businessman Emanuel Gurgel, who launched Rede SomZoom Sat on the frequency on June 1, 1997.
