The 82nd Separate Air Assault Brigade (; 82 ОДШБр; A2582) is a unit of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces. The brigade is located in Chernivtsi. Ukrainian Air Assault Forces
The Air Assault Forces of Ukraine ( AAFU; , , ), known until 2017 as the Ukrainian Airmobile Forces, are the airborne forces of Ukraine. After the Dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, several Ukraine-based units from the Soviet Airborne Forces were absorbed into the newly created Ukrainian Ground Forces, where they remained until 2016, when they separated to become one of five Military branch, branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Falcon

80th Air Assault Brigade (Ukraine)
The 80th Separate Galician Air Assault Brigade is an airmobile formation of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces. The brigade traces its history back to the 80th Airborne Regiment of the Soviet Union, formed in 1955 as part of the Soviet airborne's 7th Guards Airborne Division. Four years later, the regiment transferred to the 104th Guards Airborne Division. It participated in Operation Whirlwind in 1956 and Operation Danube in 1968. In 1979, the regiment was disbanded and used to form the 39th and 40th Separate Air Assault Brigades of the Soviet Army. The 39th Separate Air Assault Brigade became the 224th Training Center after transfer back to the Soviet airborne in 1990. The training center was taken over by Ukraine in 1992 with the dissolution of the Soviet Union and became the 6th Separate Airmobile Brigade in 1995. M119 Howitzer
The M119 howitzer is a lightweight 105 mm howitzer, used by the United States Army. It is the American licensed version of the British L119 light gun. The M119 is typically towed by the M1097 or M1152 High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), and can be easily airlifted by helicopter, or airdropped by parachute. Development The howitzer was designed and produced by the British Royal Ordnance Factories as the L118 light gun. In the L118 configuration, the 105 mm ammunition is cased separate loading ammunition. The L118 entered service with the British Army in 1976 and is used by parachute and commando field artillery regiments. The 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Magura" () is a brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces formed in 2022. History The unit was formed during the Russo-Ukrainian War. The 33rd Mechanized Brigade () is a brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces formed in 2016. History The 33rd Mechanized Brigade, which was originally formed in April 2016 as a part of the Ukrainian Reserve Corps, had been demobilized and essentially existed only on paper for a period of time.
