8-Track Flashback
''8-Track Flashback'' (also titled ''VH1's 8-Track Flashback'') is a television series hosted by David Cassidy, Leif Garrett, and Suzanne Somers. This rhyming title refers to the fact that it is a "flashback" to the popularity of 8-tracks in the 1970s. Luis Cardenas
Luis Cardenas is a Latin-American drummer who has been active since the early 1980s, both as a solo act and as a member of the rock band Renegade. Renegade Renegade was formed in California in the early 1980s by Cardenas and the band's manager/producer Kim Richards and were unusual in being ethnic Hispanics playing rock music. Widely viewed as teen idols, the band headlined the Saturday nights of the Los Angeles Street Scene Festival in both 1985 and 1986, with audiences of 150,000 in attendance. They released four albums, ''Rock n' Roll Crazy'', ''Renegade II – On the Run'', ''Nuns on Wheels'' and ''Renegade Live'', with their major success coming in California, Mexico and Japan. Leif Garrett (born Leif Per Nervik; November 8, 1961) is an American actor, singer, and television personality. He worked as a child actor, then in the 1970s became famous as a teen idol in music. He later received much publicity for his drug abuse and legal troubles. 8-track Tape
The 8-track tape (formally Stereo 8; commonly called eight-track cartridge, eight-track tape, and eight-track) is a magnetic-tape sound recording technology that was popular from the mid-1960s until the early 1980s, when the compact cassette, which pre-dated the 8-track system, surpassed it in popularity for pre-recorded music. The format was commonly used in cars and was most popular in the United States and Canada and, to a lesser extent, in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Japan. One advantage of the 8-track tape cartridge was that it could play continuously in an endless loop, and did not have to be ejected, turned around and reinserted to play the entire tape.
