7 Aum Arivu
''7 Aum Arivu'' ( ) is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language science fiction action film written and directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under Red Giant Movies. The film Suriya in dual roles, along with Shruti Haasan (in her Tamil debut) and Johnny Trí Nguyễn (in his Indian film debut). In the film, a genetics student enlists the help of a circus artist, who is a descendant of Bodhidharma, to revive the legend's skills and knowledge, while a Chinese mercenary with hypnotic powers starts a government-planned biological war against India. The film was announced in May 2010 with principal photography commenced the following month and continued for a year before being completed by July 2011. Filming was held predominantly in Chennai, Coimbatore with sporadic schedules in parts of China, Bangkok and Hong Kong. AR Murugadoss
Murugadas Arunachalam (born 25 September 1974), known professionally as AR Murugadoss, () is an Indian film director, screenwriter and film producer who predominantly works in the Tamil cinema, Tamil film industry. He is best known for directing action films mainly on social issues. In addition, he has worked in Telugu films and Hindi films. Murugadoss won the Filmfare Award for Best Director – Tamil, Filmfare Award for Best Director for his 2014 Tamil action drama film, action drama ''Kaththi''. Murugadoss' first break in the film industry was as an assistant director of ''Ratchagan'' (1997). He then worked with S. J. South Indian International Movie Awards
The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA Awards) rewards the artistic and technical achievements of the South Indian film industry.
