6th Special Purpose Regiment (Ukraine)
The 6th Separate Special Purpose Regiment "Ranger" (, A5018) is a Ukrainian special forces regiment that was formed in 2024 as part of the Ukrainian Ranger Corps. History The 6th Special Purpose Regiment was formed in April 2024. Its recruitment continued in May and June. It is garrisoned in Khmelnytskyi, Khmelnytskyi Oblast. On 4 June 2024, the 6th Special Purpose Regiment received its Military Unit Number. On June 11, 2024, more than 100 new recruits took an oath of allegiance to the state and joined the newly created Ranger special operations forces regiment in Khmelnytskyi, said the commander of the regiment with the call sign "Beaver". The ( ; , ''hrn''; sign: ₴; code: UAH) has been the national currency of Ukraine since 2 September 1996. The hryvnia is divided into 100 kopiykas (). It is named after a measure of weight used in Kievan Rus'. Etymology The currency of Kievan Rus' in the 11th century was the ''grivna''. The word is thought to derive from the Slavic ''griva''; which compares with the Ukrainian, Russian, Bulgarian, and Serbo-Croatian word (''griva'', meaning "mane"). It might have indicated something valuable to be worn around the neck, that was usually made of silver or gold, and may be related to the Bulgarian and Serbian term ''grivna'' (, "bracelet"). The DJI Mavic ( zh, c=御, p=Yù) is a series of teleoperated compact quadcopter drones for personal and commercial aerial photography and videography use, released by the Chinese technology company DJI. The BMP-1 is a Soviet Union, Soviet Amphibious vehicle, amphibious tracked infantry fighting vehicle that has been in service from 1966 to the present. BMP stands for ''Boyevaya Mashina Pyekhoty 1'' (), meaning "infantry fighting vehicle, 1st serial model". The BMP-1 was the first mass-produced infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) of the Soviet Union. It was called the M-1967, BMP and BMP-76PB by NATO before its correct designation was known.
