68th Venice International Film Festival
The 68th annual Venice Film Festival, Venice International Film Festival was held from 31 August and 10 September 2011, at Venice Lido in Italy. American filmmaker Darren Aronofsky was the jury president for the main competition. Italian actress Vittoria Puccini was the Host of the opening and closing ceremonies. The Golden Lion was awarded to ''Faust (2011 film), Faust'' by Alexander Sokurov. Italian filmmaker Marco Bellocchio received the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement during the festival. The Ides Of March (2011 Film)
''The Ides of March'' is a 2011 American Political cinema, political drama film directed by George Clooney from a screenplay written by Clooney, Grant Heslov, and Beau Willimon. The film is an Film adaptation, adaptation of Willimon's 2008 play ''Farragut North (play), Farragut North''. It stars Ryan Gosling and Clooney alongside Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei, Jeffrey Wright, and Evan Rachel Wood. ''The Ides of March'' was featured as the opening film at the 68th Venice International Film Festival and at the 27th Haifa International Film Festival, and was shown at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival. Odile Decq
Odile Decq (born 1955) is a French architect, urban planner and academic. She is the founder of the Paris firm, Studio Odile Decq and the architecture school, Confluence Institute. Decq is known for her self-described goth appearance and style. Education In the 1970s, Odile Decq first entered École Régionale d'Architecture de Rennes. She was told by the first year director that she would never become an architect because she did not possess the right spirit.
