5th Mazhilis
The Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the 5th convocation was the legislative term of the lower house of the Parliament of Kazakhstan which was held from 20 January 2012, until its dissolution on 20 January 2016. The convocation was succeeded by the 6th Mazhilis on 25 March 2016. The 5th Mazhilis was formed after the 2012 Kazakh legislative election which took place on 15 January 2012 where 98 members of the Mazhilis were elected based on the party list through proportional representation, while the 9 seats are reserved to the indirectly elected members of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, Assembly of People.Republic of Kazakhstan

The Aq Jol Democratic Party ( kz, Ақ жол Демократиялық Партиясы, translit=Aq Jol Demokratialyq Partiasy, russian: Демократическая партия Казахстана «Ак жол», Demokraticheskaya partiya Kazakhstana «Ak zhol»), commonly referred to simply as Aq Jol ( kz, Ақ жол, translit=Aq Jol, lit=Bright Path), is a Liberal conservatism, liberal-conservative political party in Kazakhstan. Aitkul Samakova
Aitkul B. Samakova is a Kazakhstani politician, former member of parliament, and political scientist. She has been a representative to the Mazhilis and the Senate of Kazakhstan, and the First Deputy to the Kazakhstan Minister of Trade. Samakova was Kazakhstan's Minister of the Environment from 2002 to 2006. Early life and education Samakova was born on 2 February 1949 in Kazakhstan. In 1967, Samakova earned a technical degree at an Almaty polytechnic college. From 1967 until 1980, Samakova worked at a canning plant in Almaty, first as an engineer and then in management positions. Aiqyn Qongyrov
Aiqyn Oiratuly Qongyrov (; born 28 November 1972) is a Kazakh politician who is serving as a member of the Mazhilis since 2012. He was the chairman of the People's Party of Kazakhstan (QHP) from 11 November 2020 before being succeeded by Ermūhamet Ertısbaev on 27 March 2022 and was the party's secretary from 2013 to 2020.
