Stanford Fleet Street Singers
The Stanford Fleet Street Singers (Fleet Street) is a comedy a cappella group from Stanford University. The group performs original songs and sketch comedy, and wears a uniform of black vests and red bow ties. Fleet Street is perhaps best known for having published the first collegiate a cappella album composed entirely of original music. In total, Fleet Street has released 13studio albums and has received adozennational awards. Fleet Street was founded in 1981, as a collegiate a cappella group focused on comedy, theatricality, and Barbershop music, barbershop harmony. George Forrest (born George Forrest Chichester Jr., July 31, 1915 – October 10, 1999) was an American writer of music and lyrics for musical theatre best known for the show '' Kismet'', adapted from the works of Alexander Borodin. He was also known professionally at times as Chet Forrest. Biography Throughout his career Forrest worked exclusively with the composer-lyricist Robert Wright. The two men had an affinity for adapting classical music themes and adding lyrics to these themes for the Broadway musical stage and films. Mike Stoller
Leiber and Stoller were an American songwriting and record production duo, consisting of lyricist Jerome Leiber (; April 25, 1933 – August 22, 2011) and composer Michael Stoller (born March 13, 1933). As well as many R&B and pop hits, they wrote numerous standards for Broadway. Leiber and Stoller found success as the writers of such crossover hit songs as " Hound Dog" (1952) and " Kansas City" (1952). Home Free is an American country a cappella group of five vocalists: Adam Bell-Bastien, Adam Chance, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, and Tim Foust. Starting as a show group, they toured with approximately 200 shows a year across the United States. The group won the fourth season of ''The Sing-Off'' on NBC in 2013. They sang an arrangement of Hunter Hayes's " I Want Crazy" as their final competitive song, earning the group $100,000 and a recording contract with Sony.
