4th Vijay Awards
Vijay TV presented the fourth consecutive edition of Univercell Vijay Awards powered by Rin this time even grand than its last three years; an event to recognize the excellence of professionals in the Tamil film industry, for movies released in the year 2009. The year 2009 saw 131 films released. Winners from 32 various categories like Best Film, Best Actor Male/Female, Best Supporting Actor Male/Female, Best Comedian, Best Villain, Best Playback Singer Male/Female, Best Debut Actor Male/Female, Best Choreographer, Best Film Editor, Best Lyricist, Best Art Director, Best Dress Designer, Best Dialogue Writer are few of the awards that would be selected by the Jury members. Vijay TV
Star Vijay is an Indian Tamil language general entertainment pay television channel owned by JioStar, a joint venture between Viacom18 and Disney India. The channel telecasts programmes such as serials, reality shows & Tamil films. History The channel was first launched by N. P. V. Ramasamy Udayar on 24 November 1994, as Golden Eagle Communication (GEC). That same year it applied for the line-up of StarHub TV, Singapore Cable Vision becoming the first Tamil channel on offer. United Breweries Group acquired the channel in 1995 and renamed it as Vijay TV. The UTV Software Communications, UTV Group bought the controlling interest from United Breweries Group in 1999 for million. In 2001, Star India took over the channel and rebranded it as ''Star Vijay.'' Star acquired 51 percent stake in Vijay TV with UTV holding the remaining 49 percent. Radhika Sarathkumar () is an Indian actress, film producer, film director and politician who works predominantly in Tamil cinema, Tamil and Telugu cinema, Telugu cinema, TV serials and web series as well as in Hindi cinema, Hindi, Malayalam cinema, Malayalam and Kannada cinema, Kannada films. She is a recipient of a National Film Award, two Nandi Awards, three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and six Filmfare Award South. Personal life Radhika is the daughter of actor M. R. Radha and Geetha. Her father is a Telugu from Chennai and her mother is a Tamil from Sri Lanka, native of Wennappuwa. Radhika did her education in India, Sri Lanka and a course in London, which she discontinued. Madhan, real name Maadapoosi Krishnaswamy Govindan (born 11 July 1947 in Srirangam), is a Tamil cartoonist, journalist, writer and film critic. He previously worked for the weekly magazine ''Ananda Vikatan'' and now hosts a film-review show ''Madhan Movie Matinee'' on Puthuyugam TV. He was one of the juries for the television program ''Naalaya Iyakunar'', Season 1. In 2016, he was the presenter of the Tamil supernatural investigation television series '' Manithanum Marmangalum''. Personal life Madhan resides in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Sam Anderson (born c. 1946/1947) is an American actor. He is best known for his character roles such as Sam Gorpley on '' Perfect Strangers'', Principal Willis DeWitt on '' Growing Pains'', Holland Manners on ''Angel'', dentist Bernard Nadler on '' Lost'', Doctor Harad in ''Friends'', and in film, as the principal in '' Forrest Gump''. 2009 Indian Film Awards
9 (nine) is the natural number following and preceding . Evolution of the Hindu–Arabic digit Circa 300 BC, as part of the Brahmi numerals, various Indians wrote a digit 9 similar in shape to the modern closing question mark without the bottom dot. The Kshatrapa, Andhra and Gupta started curving the bottom vertical line coming up with a -look-alike. How the numbers got to their Gupta form is open to considerable debate. The Nagari continued the bottom stroke to make a circle and enclose the 3-look-alike, in much the same way that the sign @ encircles a lowercase ''a''. As time went on, the enclosing circle became bigger and its line continued beyond the circle downwards, as the 3-look-alike became smaller. Soon, all that was left of the 3-look-alike was a squiggle. The Arabs simply connected that squiggle to the downward stroke at the middle and subsequent European change was purely cosmetic.
