4th NWHL All-Star Game
The 4th NWHL All-Star Game took place on February 10, 2019, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. More than 6,000 people attended the game, setting an attendance record for the NWHL. Lee Stecklein of the Minnesota Whitecaps and goaltender Shannon Szabados of the Buffalo Beauts were named team captains. Slated to begin at 2:45 pm, the NWHL All-Stars took to the ice after the NHL's Nashville Predators and the St. Louis Blues played their scheduled game at 11:30 am. On Saturday, February 9, the NWHL hosted the All-Star Skills Challenge at Ford Ice Center. Participating players represented a total of five countries, including the United States and Canada, plus the Czech Republic, Finland and Sweden. Emily Fluke
Emily Fluke is an American ice hockey forward, currently playing for the Connecticut Whale of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). A two-time PHF All-Star, she formerly served as captain of the Connecticut Whale and is currently the 9th leading scorer in league history. Career Across 109 NCAA Division III games with Middlebury Panthers, Fluke scored 115 points. She led the entire New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) in scoring in her senior year, being named NESCAC Player of the Year and New England Hockey Writers Association's Division II-III Women's Player of the Year. 2018–19 NWHL Season
The 2018–19 NWHL season is the fourth season of the National Women's Hockey League. All four teams from the previous three seasons returned: the Boston Pride, Buffalo Beauts, Connecticut Whale, and the Metropolitan Riveters while the Minnesota Whitecaps entered the league as an expansion team bringing the league to five teams. Danielle Cameranesi (born June 3, 1995) is an American women's ice hockey forward, currently playing for the Minnesota section of the PWHPA. Nicole Hensley (born June 23, 1994) is an American women’s ice hockey player. She is currently a member of the Professional Women's Hockey Players' Association. Playing career USA Hockey Hensley was named one of three goaltenders to compete for the United States women's national ice hockey team at the 2016 IIHF Women's World Championship in Kamloops, British Columbia. Hensley was also named to the 2017 team, where she was in net for a shutout against Canada in the preliminary rounds, started the quarterfinal against Germany, and played in Team USA's 3–2 OT win against Canada for the championship. Blake Alexis Bolden (born March 10, 1991) is an American ice hockey player and scout for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). On October 11, 2015, she became the first African-American player to compete in the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL; rebranded Premier Hockey League (PHF) in 2021). Kendall Coyne Schofield
Kendall Coyne Schofield (born May 25, 1992) is an American professional ice hockey player who is currently a member of the United States women's national ice hockey team. With the national team, she has won six gold medals at the IIHF World Women's Championships and the gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Audra Morrison (née Richards) is an American ice hockey forward, currently playing for the Minnesota Whitecaps of the Premier Hockey Federation. Career Over four years at the University of Maine, Richards set the team record for games played with 132, and put up 45 goals (the fifth most in team history), being selected to the Hockey East All-Academic Team four times.
