The Legislature of Guam ( ch, Liheslaturan Guåhan) is the law-making body for the United States territory of Guam. The unicameral legislative branch consists of fifteen senators, each serving for a two-year term. All members of the legislature are elected at-large with the island under one whole district. William Flores (politician)
William Ray Flores was a seaman apprentice in the United States Coast Guard. SA Flores was posthumously honored for heroic behavior during a 1980 ship collision. In November 2011, the Coast Guard selected Flores as the namesake of the third of its Sentinel class cutters. Life Flores was born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico. By the time he was in high school, he and his family moved to Benbrook, Texas. With his parents' permission, Flores left Western Hills High School in Benbrook early in order to serve in the United States Coast Guard. Having been out of boot camp for only one year, Flores was stationed aboard USCGC ''Blackthorn''. Alfred Flores
Alfred San Nicolas Flores (June 20, 1916 – February 6, 2009) was a Guamanian politician, lancheru and survivor of the Japanese occupation of Guam during World War II. He was one of the original founders of the Democratic Party of Guam. He served for six terms in the Guam Legislature. Early life Flores, a '' lancheru'' as ranchers are known in Guam, began grazing approximately eight hundred head of cattle and carabao on several acres on his ranch in Inarajan early in his life. He also founded Flores Poultry Farm, which would later grow to include more than 75,000 chickens at a time. Flores also cultivated vegetables and fruit on his farm. World War II Flores was just 25 years old at the time of the Japanese invasion of Guam in 1941 during World War II.
