465th Missile Brigade
The 465th Missile Brigade (465 ''rbr'') (; ); Military Unit Number 61732) is a tactical ballistic missile brigade of the Belarusian Ground Forces. The sole active ballistic missile brigade of the Armed Forces of Belarus, the brigade is armed with Tochka-U tactical ballistic missiles inherited from the Soviet Union and the Russian-supplied Iskander system. Based at the Yuzhny military base near Osipovichi, the brigade reports directly to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus. Formed in 1988 at Baranovichi as part of the Soviet Army, the brigade came under Belarusian control following the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The brigade relocated to Tsel near Osipovichi in 2005, replacing the disbanded 22nd Missile Brigade, and by 2016 was based at Yuzhny together with the General Staff-reporting artillery brigades. Belorussian Military District
The Byelorussian Military District (; alternatively Belarusian; ) was a military district of the Soviet Armed Forces. Originally formed just before World War I as the Minsk Military District out of the remnants of the Vilno Military District and the Warsaw Military District, it was headed by the Russian General Eugen Alexander Ernst Rausch von Traubenberg. With the outbreak of the Russian Civil War it was reorganized into the Western Front and in April 1924 it was renamed to the Western Military District. The 336th Rocket Artillery Brigade (; Latin alphabet abbreviation: ; Military Unit Number 12180) is a rocket artillery brigade of the Belarusian Ground Forces. 51st Guards Artillery Brigade (Belarus)
The 51st Guards Artillery Brigade (Military Unit Number 12147) is an artillery brigade of the Belarusian Ground Forces, based at Osipovichi. Formed in 1942 during World War II as the 83rd Corps Artillery Regiment, the unit was made an elite Guards military unit, the 83rd Guards Howitzer Artillery Regiment in mid-1943 for its actions in the Battles of Rzhev. The regiment fought in the Battle of Smolensk and Operation Bagration before advancing into the Baltic states, ending the war in the Battle of Königsberg. Postwar, it went through several reorganizations and was relocated to Osipovichi in 1960, when it became the 121st Guards Artillery Brigade. The annual Victory Day Parade (; ) on Victors Avenue in Minsk (the capital of Belarus) is a traditional military parade of the Armed Forces of Belarus that takes place every 5 years on 9 May in honor of the jubilee anniversary of the end of the Second World War (known as the Great Patriotic War in Belarus).
