45th Chess Olympiad
The 45th Chess Olympiad, organised by the Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) and comprising openAlthough sometimes referred to as the "men's division", this section is open to all players. and women's tournaments, as well as several events designed to promote the game of chess, will be held in Budapest, Hungary from 10 to 23 September 2024. It will be the first Chess Olympiad to take place in Hungary after Budapest hosted the 2nd unofficial Chess Olympiad in 1926. Bidding process The bidding procedure for the Chess Olympiad 2024 and the FIDE Congress in connection with bids for the Women's World Cup 2022 and Chess World Cup 2023 was opened in November 2019. Each city interested to host the event had to submit their bid to FIDE by 31 March 2016. 2024 In Chess
The Candidates Tournament 2024 and Women's Candidates Tournament 2024 will be held concurrently for the first time to determine the challengers for the World Chess Champion Ding Liren and Women's World Chess Champion Ju Wenjun. The winner of the Candidates Tournament will play Ding in the World Chess Championship 2024, while Ju will defend her title in 2025. The World Championship runner-up will no longer get an automatic Candidates spot in the 2024–2026 cycle. Instead, he will be awarded bonus points in the 2024 FIDE Circuit, the winner of which will qualify of the Candidates Tournament 2026. Chess In Hungary
Chess is a board game for two players. It is sometimes called international chess or Western chess to distinguish it from related games such as (Chinese chess) and (Japanese chess). Chess is an abstract strategy game that involves no hidden information and no elements of chance. It is played on a chessboard with 64 squares arranged in an 8×8 grid. Arkady Vladimirovich Dvorkovich (russian: Арка́дий Влади́мирович Дворко́вич; born 26 March 1972) is a Russian politician and economist, who was Deputy Prime Minister in Dmitry Medvedev's Cabinet from 21 May 2012 until 7 May 2018.
