42nd National Film Awards
The 42nd National Film Awards, presented by Directorate of Film Festivals, the organisation set up by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India to felicitate the best of Indian Cinema released in the year 1994. Ceremony took place in 1995 and awards were given by then President of India, Shankar Dayal Sharma. Gnana Rajasekaran (born 23 January 1953) is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, playwright and Retired IAS Officer. His directional debut was '' Mogamul'' (1994) won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director. His other works include '' Bharathi'' (2000), ''Periyar'' (2007) and ''Ramanujan'' (2014). As of 2014, Rajasekaran has won three National Film Awards, three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.
