40 Years – Then Death
''Great Truckin' Songs of the Renaissance'' is the debut album by the Australian band TISM. The album peaked at No. 48 on the ARIA Charts in October 1988. The vinyl version has a different vocal mix on the track, "Saturday Night Palsy", including an alternate line of lyrics, with the line "I want to shoot heroin through the eye" replaced by "I want to shove a red-hot poker through the eye" on the CD. The title is derived from the band's first album-length recording, which was recorded in December 1982, shortly after the group's formation. In March 2022, LP and CD reissues were announced, with the CD containing a bonus album with 40 minutes of unreleased content. A cassette reissue, featuring the bonus content and the LP version of the cover art on cassette for the first time, had been released that February. TISM
TISM ( ; an acronym of This Is Serious Mum) are a seven-piece anonymous alternative rock band, formed in Melbourne, Australia on 30 December 1982 by vocalist/drummer Humphrey B. Flaubert, bassist/vocalist Jock Cheese and keyboardist/vocalist Eugene de la Hot Croix Bun, with vocalist Ron Hitler-Barassi joining the group the following year. These four members have formed the core of the band since their inception, with the line-up being rounded out by guitarists Leak Van Vlalen (1982–1991), Tokin' Blackman (1991–2004; died 2008) and Vladimir Lenin-McCartney (2022–present), as well as backing vocalists/dancers Les Miserables and Jon St. Peenis. Junkee Media, formerly known as Sound Alliance, is a digital media company based in Australia. History Junkee Media was founded in 2000 when Matt Callander, Libby Clark, and Andre Lackmann launched their dance music website ''inthemix''. The website began as a part-time hobby for the three, who were soon joined by Neil Ackland. Ackland discovered the site online and got in touch with its creators. Sound Alliance acquired ''Mess+Noise'' in October 2008 from failed media group Destra Corporation. ''Mess+Noise'' has been operating since 2005 when it began as a bimonthly print publication. In 2006, Tim Duggan co-founded the national LGBT site ''Same Same'' with Sound Alliance. Sound Alliance launched ''Junkee'' in March 2013, an online title aimed at an audience aged 18 to 29 years.
