Vijay Awards
The Vijay Awards are presented by the Tamil television channel STAR Vijay to honour excellence in Tamil cinema. It has been given annually since 2006, with the latest—the 10th edition—of the award-giving ceremony having been held in May 2018. The awards are decided by a jury, consisting of noted film-makers, critics and technicians, while winners in a separate category named "Favourite awards" are chosen by public voting. Harris Jayaraj (born 8 January 1975) is an Indian composer from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He composes soundtracks predominantly for Tamil films, while also having composed for a few films in Telugu and two films in Hindi. ''Poo'' () is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Sasi, based on the short story, ''Veyilodu Poi'' written by Thamizh Selvan. The film, produced by Moser Baer and Nesagee Cinemas, stars Srikanth and Parvathy. It was released on 28 November 2008.
