BFS Group Limited, trading as Bidfood, is a foodservice wholesaler and distributor based in the United Kingdom. The BFS Group Limited was a wholly owned subsidiary of Bidvest, an international services, trading and distribution company listed on the JSE Securities Exchange in South Africa. It is now a wholly owned subsidiary of BidCorp, also listed on the JSE. BidCorp, the Bid Corporation Limited, is the holding company of the Bidvest Group Limited. History BFS Group, trading as Booker Foodservice, was originally owned by Booker Group, having been formed through a series of acquisitions and mergers. In May 1999 Booker sold the company to Bidvest Group, in November of that year the company was re-branded as 3663, with the slogan "First for foodservice". The name "3663" spells "food" on a telephone keypad and is pronounced "three double-six three". The DAF CF is a range of trucks produced since 1992 by the Dutch truck manufacturer DAF Trucks NV. Originally launched as the 65, 75, and 85 series (from 1992 through 1997), they were renamed the CF range in 1998. Most left-hand drive DAF trucks are assembled in Eindhoven, while all right-hand drive units for the UK market are produced by Leyland Trucks. DAF LF
The DAF LF is a range of light/medium duty trucks produced by the British manufacturer Leyland Trucks. It is a redevelopment from the Leyland Roadrunner of 1984. Engine The LF45 and LF55 are powered by Cummins B Series engines. The distribution truck and pickup versions of the LF45 use the 4 cylinder, LF45s with powered equipment such as bin lorries and vacuum tankers use the 6 cylinder, and all LF55s use the 6 cylinder due to their increased size and weight. Daniel Abed Khalife (born 27 September 2001) is a former British Army network engineer and soldier. It is alleged that in January 2022 he left a fake explosive device on his desk, illegally accessed personal information about British soldiers, and shared that information and other classified documents with contacts in Iran. He was arrested on suspicion of breaching the Official Secrets Act and was bailed pending charges. In January 2023 he fled before being recaptured and held on remand. He was discharged from the army in May 2023. On 6 September 2023 Khalife escaped from HM Prison Wandsworth in London and attempted to reconnect with an Iranian contact. A nationwide police search and delays at major transport hubs followed.
