The 35th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi (; unit number A0216), is a marine infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Marine Corps formed on 24 May 2018 in Dachne, Odesa Oblast. History During 2022 Kherson counteroffensive, a 2022 Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Kherson Oblast, units of the 35th Brigade captured the village of Davydiv Brid on 4 October 2022. 2023 Ukrainian counteroffensive The 35th Marine Brigade received international headlines for its participation in the 2023 Ukrainian counteroffensive. The unit has formed part of the spearhead on the Velyka Novosilka front alongside the 25th Airborne Brigade (Ukraine), 25th Airborne and 68th Jaeger Brigade (Ukraine), 68th Jaeger brigades, as well as two units of Territorial Defense Forces (Ukraine), Territorial Defense. Urozhaine (, ; ; both ) is a rural settlement in Volnovakha Raion, Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. It is situated on the opposite side of the Mokri Yaly river from the village of Staromaiorske. It belongs to the Velyka Novosilka settlement hromada. History On 17 July 2020, according to the resolution of the Verkhovna Rada "On the Formation and Liquidation of Districts", the village was included in the Velyka Novosilka settlement hromada, Volnovakha Raion. The 38th Separate Marine Brigade named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny (; 38 ОБрМП, A4765), is a naval infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. History The 38th brigade was formed out of a basis of the 503rd Separate Marine Battalion in February 2023. The unit was formed as part of an expansion to the Ukrainian Naval Infantry alongside the 37th Marine Brigade. During the 2023 Ukrainian counteroffensive the unit has been equipped with French manufactured AMX-10 RC armoured reconnaissance vehicles. At least since July 2023, the brigade has participated in battles in the Vuhledar direction. Working together with 35th Marine Brigade they liberated the village of Urozhaine on August 16, 2023.
