351st Civil Affairs Command
The 351st Civil Affairs Command is a unit of the United States Army Reserve, US Army Reserve since its creation in 1966 it has been headquartered in Mountain View, California. The unit was originally the 351st Civil Affairs Area until reorganized in 1975. The unit is subordinate to the United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command, Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command. The United States Army Reserve (USAR) is a Military reserve force, reserve force of the United States Army. Together, the Army Reserve and the Army National Guard constitute the Army element of the reserve components of the United States Armed Forces. History Origins On 23 April 1908 Congress created the Medical Reserve Corps, the official predecessor of the Army Reserve. After World War I, under the National Defense Act of 1920, Congress reorganized the U.S. land forces by authorizing a Regular Army (United States), Regular Army, a National Guard and an Organized Reserve (Officers Reserve Corps and Enlisted Reserve Corps) of unrestricted size, which later became the Army Reserve. This organization provided a peacetime pool of trained Reserve officers and enlisted men for use in war. United States Army Civil Affairs And Psychological Operations Command
The United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), USACAPOC(A), or CAPOC was founded in 1985 and is headquartered at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. USACAPOC(A) is composed mostly of U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers in units throughout the United States. The size of the Command is nearly 13,500 Soldiers, which is 76% of the Department of Defense's Civil Affairs forces and 63% of Psychological Operations forces. Historically, USACAPOC(A) was one of four major subordinate commands composing the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). In May 2006, the reserve component of USACAPOC(A) was administratively reorganized under the U.S. Army Reserve Command. 7th Psychological Operations Group
The 7th Psychological Operations Group is a Psychological Operations (United States), psychological operations (PSYOP) unit of the United States Army Reserve. Organized in 1965, it was a successor to United States Army Broadcasting and Visual Activity, Pacific. It is currently based at Moffett Federal Airfield, Moffett Field, California. Constituted 19 August 1965 in the Regular Army as the 7th Psychological Operations Group. Activated 20 October 1965 on Okinawa Prefecture, Okinawa. Inactivated 30 June 1974 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The 358th Civil Affairs Brigade is a Civil Affairs brigade of the United States Army. The brigade was created on 31 January 1966 in the United States Army Reserve as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 358th Civil Affairs Area, and activated at Norristown, Pennsylvania. 364th Civil Affairs Brigade
The 364th Civil Affairs Brigade is a unit of the US Army Reserve since 1966. The unit was first created in 1966 as HHC, 364th Civil Affairs Area and was assigned to Sixth Army in Portland, Oregon. In 1975, the unit was redesignated as the 364th Civil Affairs Brigade.
