33rd Goya Awards
The 33rd Goya Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (AACCE), honored the best in Spanish films of 2018 and took place at the Conference and Exhibition Centre of Seville on 2 February 2019. The ceremony was televised in Spain by the Spanish public television (TVE) and was hosted by television presenter and comedian Andreu Buenafuente and actress Silvia Abril. FIBES Conference And Exhibition Centre
The Conference and Exhibition Centre of Seville (), usually referred to as FIBES or Fibes, is a conference and exhibition centre in Seville, Andalusia, Spain. The centre consists of two buildings, FIBES I and FIBES II, which are connected by a footbridge. History In the 1980s, FIBES (an acronym that stands for ''Feria Iberoamericana de Sevilla'', Spanish for ''Ibero-American Exhibition of Seville''), an entity that organized congresses and exhibitions in Seville, promoted a permanent venue for their activities, and in 1989, FIBES moved to the building purposely designed by Álvaro Navarro Jiménez. In September 2012, the centre was expanded with FIBES II, a building designed by Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra that includes a 3,550-seat auditorium. Francisco León Barrios (born 4 October 1974), known as Paco León () is a Spanish actor, producer, director, screenwriter and activist. Born in Seville, León began his career in television comedy roles in Andalusian regional productions. Isaki Lacuesta (born 28 November 1975) is a Spanish film director from Catalonia. His work includes documentary film, narrative film and video art. Lacuesta was born into a family of Basque origin. He studied audiovisual communication at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and obtained his Master's Degree in documentary film making at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, where he now works as a lecturer in documentary film making. He also teaches at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Pompeu Fabra University, the Centre d'estudis cinematogràfics de Catalunya, and the University of Girona. Javier Fesser Pérez de Petinto (Madrid, born 15 February 1964) is a Spanish film director and publicist. He is a multiple Goya Award winner for his films '' Camino'' and Mortadelo y Filemón contra Jimmy el Cachondo, and an Academy Award nominee for his film Binta and the Great Idea.
