319th Division (IDF)
The 146th Division "Ha-Mapatz" (), literally "Bang" Division, is a reserve Division of the Israel Defense Forces. It is subordinate to Northern Command. History Formed in 1954, it fought in the Suez Crisis and Six-Day War as the 38th Division. In the latter conflict, the division was led by Major General Ariel Sharon. During the Yom Kippur War, the division fought in the battles of the northern Golan under Major General Moshe Peled. It was known as 319th division from after the Yom Kipur War to September 2020 when it received its old number. Reserve Duty (Israel)
In reserve duty (or reserve service; , ''Sherut Milu'im''), Israeli residents who have completed military service are assigned to the Israel Defense Forces' military reserve force to provide reinforcements during emergencies (war, military operations or natural disasters), and as a matter of routine course (e.g. for training, ongoing security and other activities). Some reservists are assigned to the same units they served in during their regular military service, and some are assigned to dedicated reserve units. Within the IDF's Personnel Directorate, the professional officer in charge of the reserve army is the Commander of Reserve Forces Corps (abbreviated קמל"ר; "Kamlar"), an officer with the rank of Brigadier General. 226th Paratroopers Brigade (Israel)
The 226th Paratroopers Brigade "Nesher/Eagle" (Hebrew: 226 חטיבת הנשר; Brigade 80 in the Six-Day War, later Brigade 317, then Brigade 939; also known as Nesher (Eagle) Formation and The Northern Brigade) is a reserve paratrooper brigade that was established in 1957.
