Scott Moe
Scott Moe (born July 31, 1973) is a Canadian politician serving as the 15th and current premier of Saskatchewan since February 2, 2018. He is a member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan for the riding of Rosthern-Shellbrook, first elected in 2011. He served in the Saskatchewan Party cabinet from 2014 to 2017 under the premiership of Brad Wall, twice as minister of environment and also as minister of advanced education. In January 2018 he was chosen to succeed Wall as leader of the Saskatchewan Party. He led the party to a fifth consecutive majority government in the 2024 provincial election. Since becoming premier, Moe has consistently been ranked among the most popular first ministers in the country. Carrot River Valley is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada. Located in the east central area of Saskatchewan, this constituency was created by ''The Representation Act, 1994'' (Saskatchewan) out of the former district of Kelsey-Tisdale and part of the riding of Nipawin. The Carrot River flows through the riding. The riding was last contested in the 2020 general election, when incumbent Saskatchewan Party MLA Fred Bradshaw was re-elected. Lumsden-Morse is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada. It was created mostly from parts of Thunder Creek plus six other ridings and was first contested in the 2016 election. The riding hugs the rural area along the Trans-Canada Highway between Swift Current and Regina, excluding Moose Jaw. In the northeast, it stretches to the shores of Last Mountain Lake to include the towns of Lumsden and Regina Beach. The riding was last contested in the 2020 general election, when it returned Saskatchewan Party MLA Colleen Young. The riding was last contested in the 2020 general election, when it returned Saskatchewan Party MLA Hugh Nerlien. Estevan-Big Muddy is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada. The city of Estevan (pop. 10,084) is the largest centre in the constituency. Known as Saskatchewan's "Energy City", the area has rich deposits of oil, natural gas, and lignite coal. Provincial Highways 39 and 47 connect Estevan with the American state of North Dakota. Smaller centres in the riding include the towns of Bienfait, Midale and Radville; and the villages of North Portal, Goodwater, Macoun, Oungre, Halbrite, Torquay, and Lake Alma. Dakota-Arm River
Dakota-Arm River is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada. This constituency is located in south central Saskatchewan. The district was created as Arm River for the 1908 Saskatchewan general election, and it was last contested in the 2020 election. Grain farming and cattle ranching are the major economic activities of the area. The two largest towns in the constituency are Davidson and Outlook. Much of the Highway 11 corridor connecting Regina and Saskatoon lies within the constituency. History Arm River was originally created before the 2nd Saskatchewan general election in 1908 and has existed ever since. 2016 Saskatchewan General Election
The 2016 Saskatchewan general election, was held on April 4, 2016, to elect members of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. The Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, Lieutenant Governor dissolved the Legislature on March 8, 2016, setting the election date for April 4. The election resulted in the Saskatchewan Party winning its third majority government. This is the first time in 90 years that a party other than the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party (NDP) or its predecessor, the Saskatchewan Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) has won three consecutive majority governments in Saskatchewan.
