300 Metre Rifle Prone
300 m rifle prone (formerly known as one of four free rifle disciplines) is an ISSF shooting event. It was added to the World Championship program in 1982, and was based on the English Match but shot with the same full-power rifle as in 300 metre rifle three positions. The course of fire, like in the small-bore 50 metre rifle prone, is 60 shots for both men and women. 300 m rifle has been a declining event for many decades because of the considerable cost for competing in the event and the difficulty of creating ranges for it. 300 metre Rifle is still on the World and regional championships program, though. ISSF Shooting Event
The International Shooting Sport Federation recognizes several shooting events, some of which have Olympic Games, Olympic status. They are divided into four disciplines: rifle, pistol, Clay pigeon shooting, shotgun and Running target shooting, running target. The main distinctions between different rifle events are the distances to the target and the Three positions, shooting positions used. For the other disciplines, the position is always standing, and changes include limits to shooting times and different types of targets. Vebjørn Berg (born 1 April 1980) is a Norwegian sports shooter. He did well at several ISSF World Cups. He was also on the winning Norwegian team at the 2002 Shooting World Championship. Rajmond Debevec (born 29 March 1963) is a Slovenian sport shooter. He has won three Olympic and ten World Championship medals in shooting. He formerly held the world record in the 50 meter rifle 3 positions event. Career Debevec started shooting in 1971 and became a member of the Yugoslavian junior national team in 1979. Debevec joined the Military Sport Squad of the Slovenian Army in 1991 and holds the rank of Warrant Officer.
