Ivy Ling Po
Huang Yuet-chu (born November 16, 1939), known professionally by her stage name Ivy Ling Po, is a retired actress and Chinese opera singer from Hong Kong. She gained widespread fame during the 1960s for her roles in several popular Huangmei opera films; most notably ''The Love Eterne'' (1963). Yueh Feng
Griffin Yueh Feng (; 1909 or July 29, 1910 – March 3, 1999) was a Chinese film director and screenwriter who worked in the Cinema of Hong Kong. He worked at the Shaw Brothers Studio's for many years and directed nearly 90 films. Early life Born as Da Zichun () in Shanghai, China, Yueh Feng studied at the Asia Photography School. Career Yueh started his career in a film industry as an extra in 1929. By 1933, Yueh advanced to the role of a director after gaining experience as an assistant. In 1949, Yueh became a director for Great Wall Company in Hong Kong, where he directed his first Hong Kong film "An Unfaithful Woman" (also known as A Forgotten Woman), a 1949 Mandarin Drama. Yueh was a director for Cathay Studio, International Films, and Motion Picture & General Investment Co. Ltd. In 1959, he also became a director for Shaw Brothers Studio. Margaret Tu Chuan
Margaret Tu Chuan (; January 1, 1942 - November 30, 1969, aged 27) was a Hong Kong actress. Career She made her first film, '' The Magic Touch'', in 1958. The film was directed by Li Han Hsiang who discovered her at age seventeen. She starred in movies such as '' When The Peach Blossoms Bloom '' (1959), ''The Kingdom And The Beauty'' (1959) and '' Madam White Snake '' (1962) with Betty Loh Ti and Lin Dai before her death in 1969. '' Diary Of A Lady-Killer'' (1969) was the last role she starred in before committing suicide by taking an overdose of sleeping pills with a female lover after a failed marriage. Both women left notes asking that they be buried together, but this was not done. She was 27 years old. This suicide was part of an "epidemic" that decimated female Mandarin-cinema stars ( Ting Hao, Linda Lin Dai, Betty Loh Ti) at the time.
