The 2nd British Academy Video Games Awards, awarded by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, was an award ceremony held on 1 March 2005 at Café Royal in London. Hotel Café Royal
The Hotel Café Royal is a five-star hotel at 68 Regent Street in Piccadilly, London. Before its conversion in 2008–2012 it was a restaurant and meeting place known as the Café Royal. History The establishment was originally conceived and set up in 1865 by Daniel Nicholas Thévenon, who was a French wine merchant. He had to flee France due to bankruptcy, arriving in Britain in 1863 with his wife, Célestine, and just five pounds in cash. He changed his name to Daniel Nicols and under his management—and later that of his wife—the Café Royal flourished and was considered at one point to have the greatest wine cellar in the world. Insomniac Games, Inc. is an American video game developer based in Burbank, California, and part of PlayStation Studios. It was founded in 1994 by Ted Price as Xtreme Software, and was renamed Insomniac Games a year later. Danny Elfman
Daniel Robert Elfman (born May 29, 1953) is an American film composer, singer, songwriter, and musician. He came to prominence as the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for the new wave band Oingo Boingo in the early 1980s. Since scoring his first studio film in 1985, Elfman has garnered international recognition for composing over 100 feature film scores, as well as compositions for television, stage productions, and the concert hall. Fable (2004 Video Game)
''Fable'' is an action role-playing video game, the first in the ''Fable'' series. It was developed for the Xbox, Windows, and Mac OS X platforms by Big Blue Box Studios, a satellite developer of Lionhead Studios, and was published by Microsoft Studios. The game shipped for the Xbox in September 2004. An extended version of the game, ''Fable: The Lost Chapters'', was released for the Xbox and Windows in September 2005. A port of the game for Mac OS X, created by Robosoft Technologies and published by Feral Interactive, was released in March 2008 after a delay of more than two years due to licensing issues. James Hannigan (born 23 July 1971) is a BAFTA Award winning composer and producer. ''Evil Genius'' is a single-player real-time strategy and Simulation game, simulation video game developed by Elixir Studios and published by Sierra Entertainment, a subsidiary of Vivendi Universal Games. It was released on 28 September 2004. The game is inspired by the Spy fiction, spy thriller genre (notably the James Bond in film, James Bond film series), and is set in an Alternative history, alternative 1960s–70s era. Most closely resembling ''Dungeon Keeper'', the gameplay puts players in charge of a villainous force attempting to achieve global domination whilst fending off the forces of justice; to this end the gameplay is split between management of a base and the completion of "acts of infamy" in the rest of the world. Eidos Interactive Limited (formerly Domark Limited) was a British video game publisher based in Wimbledon, London.
