2 Tay Street is an historic building in Perth, Scotland. It is Category C listed, dating to around 1875, and stands on Tay Street, near its junction with Bridge Lane, Charlotte Street and West Bridge Street, at the foot of Perth Bridge. The three-storey building is described by Historic Environment Scotland as being constructed of "stugged red ashlar". Its central section is recessed slightly compared to its northern and southern sections, with a single window above the door. Tay Street
Tay Street is a street, part of the A989, in the Scottish city of Perth, Perth and Kinross. Planned in 1806 and completed around 1885, it is named for the River Tay, Scotland's longest river, on the western banks of which it sits. The street runs from the confluence of West Bridge Street and Charlotte Street in the north to a roundabout at Marshall Place and Shore Road in the south. Perth (; ) is a centrally located Cities of Scotland, Scottish city, on the banks of the River Tay. It is the administrative centre of Perth and Kinross council area and is the historic county town of Perthshire. It had a population of about in . There has been a settlement at Perth since prehistory, prehistoric times. It is a natural mound raised slightly above the flood plain of the Tay. The area surrounding the modern city is known to have been occupied ever since the arrival of Mesolithic hunter-gatherers. Nearby Neolithic standing stones and circles date from about 4,000 Anno Domini, BC, a period that followed the introduction of farming into the area. The A989 is a road in Perth, Scotland. Also known as the Perth Inner Ring Road, due to its circumnavigation of the city centre, it is long. Perth's city centre is around long and wide. The road was constructed around 1985. Route The road has five major intersections (clockwise from the north): West Bridge Street ( A85; crosses the River Tay via Smeaton's Bridge, leading east/west to and from Bridgend), South Street ( A93; crosses the River Tay via the Queen's Bridge leading east/west to and from Bridgend), Edinburgh Road ( A912; leading south), York Place (A93; leading west) and Barrack Street (A912; leading north). A85 Road
The A85 is a major road in Scotland. It runs east from Oban along the south bank of Loch Etive, through Lochawe and Tyndrum, Crianlarich, Lochearnhead, St Fillans and Crieff before passing through Perth, where it crosses the River Tay via Perth Bridge (West Bridge Street) to Bridgend. Its name between Crieff and Perth is the Crieff Road. It then runs concurrently with the A90 to the Swallow Roundabout, before diverging to follow the Invergowrie Bypass, Riverside Avenue and Riverside Drive before terminating in Dundee city centre.
