The X-Files (song)
"The X-Files" is an instrumental written and produced by American film and television composer Mark Snow. On its parent album, '' The Truth and the Light: Music from the X-Files'', the track is titled "Materia Primoris". It is a remixed version of the original theme Snow composed for the science fiction television series ''The X-Files'' in 1993. The composition was released as a single in 1996 and achieved chart success, particularly in France, where it reached number one on the SNEP Singles Chart. The composition has since been covered by many artists, including DJ Dado and Triple X; DJ Dado's version was a major hit in Europe while Triple X's version reached number two in Australia. Berri (born Rebecca Sleight, 1974, York) is an English singer, best known for her 1994 hit single " The Sunshine After the Rain", which was originally recorded by Ellie Greenwich in 1968 and later was a hit for Elkie Brooks, reaching number 10 in 1977. "The Sunshine After the Rain" was released twice, peaking at number 26 on the UK Singles Chart in December 1994, and, after a re-release, at number four in September 1995. For the first release, it was credited to New Atlantic/U4EA featuring Berri. Berri received sole artist credit on the second release, which was the 45th biggest-selling UK single of 1995, and the 77th highest selling single of 1995 in Australia. New Atlantic are a British electronic dance music duo from Southport, Merseyside, consisting of Richard Lloyd (born 6 February 1973) and Cameron Saunders (born 11 June 1973). They are best known for the UK hit single "I Know" which reached No. 12 in March 1992.
