Innocent Ujah Idibia MON (; born 18 September 1975), known by his stage name 2Baba and formerly as 2Face Idibia, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, record producer and philanthropist known for his solo debut album, '' Face 2 Face''. He is regarded as one of the "most influential" and greatest Afrobeats artists of all time following his contributions to Nigerian pop music in the 2000s. 2Baba won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act in 2005. Plantashun Boiz were a Nigerian hiphop and R&B music group. The group's members were 2face Idibia, Faze and Blackface. The group was formed during their college years in Enugu, at the Institute Of Management And Technology (I.M.T Enugu), Eastern Nigeria. The group moved down to Lagos where they gained popularity and with the inclusion of a new member, Faze, at the time it was a formidable team. It didn't take long before a chance meeting with Tony Tetuila, another Nigerian and ex-member of The Remedies, led to further exposure for the group and eventual release of their first album as Plantashun Boiz in the year 2000. Afrobeats
Afrobeats, not to be confused with Afrobeat or Afroswing, is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Ghana, Nigeria, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s. Afrobeats is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing out of Ghana and Nigeria.
