Imperial Russian Army
The Imperial Russian Army () was the army of the Russian Empire, active from 1721 until the Russian Revolution of 1917. It was organized into a standing army and a state militia. The standing army consisted of Regular army, regular troops and two forces that served on separate regulations: the Cossacks, Cossack troops and the Islam in Russia, Muslim troops. 3rd Army (Russian Empire)
The Russian Third Army was a World War I Russian field army that fought on the Eastern theatre of war. Field management was established in July 1914 at the headquarters of the Kiev Military District. The unit was disbanded in the beginning of 1918. At the beginning of the war the 3rd Army was composed of the IX, X, XI, XXI Army Corps. A detachment of two aircraft "Ilya Muromets" was based at the Bereza airfield, from the 4th aviation company based at the airfield Lida. The detachment operated jointly with the 3rd Army from February 1915 and, in addition to Bereza, was also based at airfields in Brest-Litovsk and Slutsk. 13th Army (Russian Empire)
The 13th Army was a field army of the Imperial Russian Army during World War I. The headquarters of the 13th Army was formed on 16 May 1915. The Army served as a link between the Northwestern and Southwestern fronts. When in August 1915, the North-Western Front was split into the Northern and Western Front, the 13th Army was disbanded. Its troops were incorporated into the 3rd Army and the staff took over command of the 12th Army. The 13th Army fought in the Great Retreat. 6th Army (Russian Empire)
The Russian Sixth Army was a World War I Russian field army that fought on the Eastern theatre of war. The 6th Army Field Headquarters was established in July 1914 at the Saint Petersburg Military District. Between July 1914 and December 1916, the Army was tasked with defending St. Petersburg and the Baltic and White Seas' coasts. In August 1915, it became part of the newly formed Northern Front. With the creation of the Romanian Front in December 1916, the staff was transferred to the Danube Army in Romania, which was renamed the 6th Army. The old 6th Army units became part of the Northern Front. Dmitry Zuyev
Dmitry Petrovich Zuyev ( – 4 September 1917) was an Imperial Russian Army general. He was commander of the 1st Infantry Division from 1907 to 1910. He fought in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–1878 and the Eastern Front of World War I. He commanded the 25th (1910-1914) and the 29th Army Corps (1914-1915). In September 1915 he was appointed commander of the Dvinsk Military District. After the February Revolution, he was removed from office and enlisted in the reserve of ranks at the headquarters of the Petrograd military district. He died on 4 (17) September 1917 in Petrograd. He was a recipient of the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky, the Order of the White Eagle, the Order of St. Vladimir, the Order of St. Anna and the Order of Saint Stanislaus.
