The 28th Filmfare Awards were held in 1981. ''Insaf Ka Tarazu, Insaaf Ka Tarazu'' and ''Thodisi Bewafaii'' led the ceremony with 9 nominations each, followed by Aakrosh (1980 film), ''Aakrosh'' and Aasha (1980 film), ''Aasha'' with 7 nominations each, and ''Khubsoorat'' and Qurbani (film), ''Qurbani'' with 6 nominations each. ''Aakrosh'' won 6 awards, including Filmfare Award for Best Director, Best Director (for Govind Nihalani), Filmfare Award for Best Actor, Best Actor (for Naseeruddin Shah) and Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actor (for Om Puri), thus becoming the most-awarded film at the ceremony. ''Khubsoorat'' () is a 1980 Indian Hindi-language comedy drama film, directed and produced by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, and written by Gulzar, Shanu Banerjee, Ashok Rawat, and D. N. Mukherjee. The film stars Ashok Kumar, Rekha, Rakesh Roshan and Dina Pathak. It was a box-office success. Reena Roy (born Saira Ali), is an Indian actress.
