27th Satellite Awards
The 27th Satellite Awards is an award ceremony honoring the year's outstanding performers, films and television shows, presented by the International Press Academy. The nominations were announced on December 8, 2022. The winners were announced on March 3, 2023. The awards presentation took place at The Beverly Hills Hotel. '' Top Gun: Maverick'' led the film nominations with 10, followed by ''Babylon'', ''Elvis'' and ''The Fabelmans'' with nine each. ''Better Call Saul''s sixth and final season, and '' The Righteous Gemstones'' led the television nominations with four apiece. Six of the special achievement awards recipients were announced on January 13, 2023; however, the Mary Pickford Award recipient was announced on February 22, 2023. The Beverly Hills Hotel
The Beverly Hills Hotel, also called the Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows, is located on Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills, California. One of the world's best-known hotels, it is closely associated with Hollywood film stars, rock stars, and celebrities. The hotel has 210 guest rooms and suites and 23 bungalows and the exterior bears the hotel's signature pink and green colors. The Beverly Hills Hotel was established in May 1912, before the city itself was incorporated. The original owners were Margaret J. Anderson, a wealthy widow, and her son, Stanley S. Anderson, who had been managing the Hollywood Hotel. The original hotel was designed by Pasadena architect Elmer Grey in the Mediterranean Revival style. From 1928 to 1932, the hotel was owned by the Interstate Company. ''Babylon'' is a 2022 American epic historical black comedy film written and directed by Damien Chazelle. The Nikola Tesla Award is an honorary Satellite Award bestowed by the International Press Academy to recognize the "pioneers of filmmaking technology industry". It was first presented on January 12, 2003, at the Golden Satellite Awards 2002, 7th Annual Golden Satellite Awards ceremony to George Lucas. Simon Hayes (sound engineer), Simon Hayes is the latest recipient as of 2024. Diane Warren
Diane Eve Warren (born September 7, 1956) is an American songwriter. She has won an Academy Honorary Award, Grammy Award, an Emmy Award, two Golden Globe Awards and three consecutive ''Billboard'' Music Awards for Songwriter of the Year from 1997 to 1999.
