Annie Awards
The Annie Awards are accolades which the Los Angeles branch of the International Animated Film Association, ASIFA-Hollywood, has presented each year since 1972 to recognize excellence in animation shown in cinema and television. Originally designed to celebrate lifetime or career contributions to animation, the award has been given to individual works since 1992. Membership in ASIFA-Hollywood is divided into three main categories: General Member (for professionals), Patron (for enthusiasts of animation), and Student Member. Members in each category pay a fee to belong to the branch. Selected professional members of the branch are permitted to vote to decide the awards. ''Bunny'' is a 1998 American computer-animated short film by Chris Wedge and produced by Blue Sky Studios. It was featured on the original 2-disc special edition DVD release of ''Ice Age'' from 2002 and the 2006 "Super-Cool Edition" re-release to coincide with the release of '' Ice Age: The Meltdown''. Glen Keane
Glen Keane (born April 13, 1954) is an American animator, author and illustrator. He was a character animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios for feature films including '' The Little Mermaid'', ''Beauty and the Beast'', ''Aladdin'', ''Pocahontas'', ''Tarzan'' and '' Tangled''. ''The Angry Beavers'' is an American animated television series created by Mitch Schauer for Nickelodeon. The series revolves around Norbert and Daggett Beaver, two young beaver brothers who have moved out of their parents' home to become bachelors in the forest near the fictional Wayouttatown, Oregon. The show premiered in the United States on April 19, 1997, and ended on November 30, 2001. The series has also appeared in syndication on Nickelodeon Canada. Michel Gagné
Michel Gagné (born 1965, Roberval, Quebec) is a Canadian cartoonist. Film Gagné studied classical animation at Sheridan College and worked for Sullivan Bluth Studios for six years, working on such films as ''An American Tail'', ''The Land Before Time'', ''All Dogs Go to Heaven'', '' Rock-A-Doodle'', and ''A Troll in Central Park''. While at Bluth's company, Gagné worked on his own short film, '' Prelude to Eden'', which was nominated for an Annie Award in 1996. After leaving Bluth, Gagné moved around and eventually settled at Warner Bros.' animation studio, where he worked on such films as ''Quest for Camelot'', ''The Iron Giant'', and ''Osmosis Jones''. SFFILM, formerly known as The San Francisco Film Society, is a nonprofit arts organization located in San Francisco, California, that presents year-round programs and events in film exhibition, media education, and filmmaker services.
