''27, rue de la Paix'' is a 1936 French crime film directed by Richard Pottier and starring Renée Saint-Cyr, Suzy Prim and Jules Berry. Plot Gloria, an affluent and sophisticated woman, seeks to end her tumultuous marriage with her philandering husband, Denis. Desperate for assistance, she reaches out to a close acquaintance, who happens to be a lawyer with ties to both Gloria and Denis. In an attempt to gain an advantage, Gloria contemplates bribing Jenny, her husband's mistress. However, the situation takes a sinister turn when Jenny is discovered murdered, her lifeless body found floating in the Seine river. As the evidence piles up against Denis, the weight of suspicion becomes overwhelming. Jacques Berlioz (actor)
Jacques Berlioz (9 December 1891, Paris – 21 December 1975) was a French zoologist and ornithologist, specializing in hummingbirds. He was a grand-nephew of composer Hector Berlioz (1803–1869). Berlioz was born in Paris, where the family home stood behind Sainte-Trinité, Paris, Sainte-Trinité and took an interest in natural history from his early childhood. The family included many artists and scientists and his grand uncle was the famous composer Hector Berlioz. He studied medicine and pharmaceutical chemistry in which he received a doctorate in 1917. He then worked at the ''Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle'' in Paris as an assistant in the department of entomology, moving to the department of mammals and birds in 1920. He became an assistant curator after some years and a chief curator in 1949 with the title of professor. He continued to work here until his retirement in 1962. Prosper Désiré "Georges" Péclet (27 July 1897 – 11 January 1974) was a French actor, director, and screenwriter. Career Between 1919 and 1957, Péclet played in ninety-five films (including several short films). He was an assistant director in 1927 and then eventually began directing in 1928. He was a director of ten films in total, the last one being from 1963. He was also the writer of five of these movies and producer of one.
