26th Legislative Assembly Of Quebec
The 26th Legislative Assembly of Quebec was the political provincial legislature in Quebec, Canada that was elected in the 1960 Quebec general election. It sat from 20 September 1960 to 22 September 1960, from 10 November 1960 to 10 June 1961, and from 9 January 1962 to 19 September 1962. The Quebec Liberal Party led by Jean Lesage began the Quiet Revolution reforms. The Union Nationale (Quebec), Union Nationale, which had previously governed for more than 15 years, formed the official opposition under successive interim leaders Yves Prévost and Antonio Talbot, and then under Daniel Johnson, Sr. The Legislature lasted only two years as Lesage called the 1962 Quebec general election, 1962 election as a referendum for the nationalization of hydroelectricity under Hydro-Québec. Alcide Courcy
Alcide Courcy (November 3, 1914 – May 22, 2000) was a Canadian politician, cabinet minister and a four-term Member of the National Assembly of Quebec. Early life Alcide Courcy was born in the town of Saint-Onésime-d'Ixworth, Quebec, in 1914. He was educated at l'École d'agriculture de Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière, where he received his bachelor's degree in agricultural science. After college, Courcy moved to the Abitibi region, where he began working as an agronomist and agricultural consultant. He was active in the local community in the town of Macamic, working with local agricultural cooperatives and unions. Courcy, along with Lucien Cliche and Jean-Pierre Bonneville, founded ''Le Progrès de Rouyn-Noranda'', a local newspaper in 1954. Azellus Lavallée

Bellechasse is a provincial electoral riding in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec, Canada which elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes a section of the city of Lévis as well as Saint-Henri, Saint-Anselme, Lac-Etchemin, Sainte-Claire, Beaumont, Saint-Charles-de-Bellechasse, Saint-Raphaël and Saint-Gervais. Beauharnois () is a provincial electoral district in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. The district notably include the city of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. It was created in 2001 from parts of Beauharnois-Huntingdon, Châteauguay and Salaberry-Soulanges. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, its territory was unchanged. An earlier version of the Beauharnois electoral district had been created for the 1867 election (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada and the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada).
