25th Mechanized Infantry Battalion (Ukraine)
The 25th Independent Motorized Infantry Battalion is an motorized infantry battalion of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. History Created on June 4 2014 in Kyiv as the 25th territorial defence battalion «Kievan Rus'». On 21 October 2014, the 25th territorial defence battalion was reorganized into the 25th independent motorized infantry battalion of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. In September 2015, battalion was assigned to the 54th Mechanized Brigade. From August 20 to December 2014, the battalion held positions on the front line of the ATO in sector "C" in Debaltseve. On February 24 2016, the Georgian Legion was consolidated as the 3rd Company of the 25th Battalion. However, on January 06 2018, the 54th Brigade Command reported that there was never a separate unit called the Georgian Legion as part of the 54th Brigade. Battalion

54th Mechanized Brigade (Ukraine)
The 54th Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa () is a brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, part of Operational Command East. The brigade was based in Bakhmut and was formed in 2014. The brigade fought in the war in Donbas and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. History War in Donbas (2014–2022) Between 18 and 22 December 2016, the brigade fought in the Battle of Svitlodarsk. The fighting began with a pro-Russian separatist attack against the 54th's positions. The brigade counterattacked the separatist flank and captured new positions. Ukrainian Ground Forces
The Ukrainian Ground Forces (SVZSU, ), also referred to as the Ukrainian army, is a land force, and one of the eight Military branch, branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukrainian Territorial Defence Battalions
Territorial defence battalions () were volunteer military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the auspices of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence in 2014–2015. They should not be confused with the volunteer units of Special Tasks Patrol Police of Ukraine created along with territorial defense battalions, but under the auspices of the Ministry of Interior.
