The 24th Robert Awards ceremony was held in 2007 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Organized by the Danish Film Academy, the awards honoured the best in Danish and foreign film of 2006. Danish Film Academy
The Danish Film Academy () is a Danish organisation the promotes the film industry. The Danish Film Academy was founded in 1982 by a number of people with professional connection to the film industry. The Academy aims to promote film as an Independent film, independent art form, and its members are primarily people who work with film. The Academy's largest annual event is the Robert Award ceremony. Jacob Neiiendam, former head of programming at Copenhagen International Film Festival from 2005 to 2007, Nordic correspondent for ''Screen International, Screen'' from 1999 until 2005, and founder-director of the CPH PIX film festival (2008-2018), became chair of the academy before or during 2018. Trine Dyrholm
Trine Dyrholm (; born 15 April 1972) is a Danish actress, singer and songwriter. Dyrholm received national recognition when she placed third in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix as a 14-year-old singer. Four years later, she again achieved national recognition when she won the Bodil Award for Best Actress in her debut film: the teenage romance ''Springflod''. Dyrholm has won the Bodil Award for Best Actress five times and a Bodil award for Best Supporting Actress twice as well as six Robert Awards in her acting career. Manon Rasmussen (born 2 August 1951 in Horsens) is a Danish costume designer. She is best known for collaborating with Thomas Vinterberg, Bille August, Susanne Bier, Christoffer Boe, Lars von Trier, and other prominent Danish directors. Specifically, she has worked on all of von Trier's feature films (with the exception of ''Medea'' and ''The Idiots''), beginning with 1982's '' Images of Liberation''. ''Prague'' () is a 2006 Danish film written and directed by Ole Christian Madsen, starring Mads Mikkelsen, Stine Stengade and Jana Plodková. Plot Married couple Christoffer and Maja have travelled to Prague to collect and bring home the body of Christoffer's father for burial in Denmark. When they have checked into their hotel, Christoffer visits the hospital mortuary. Having been estranged from his father since childhood, he views the corpse dispassionately and leaves with a cardboard box containing pyjamas and other possessions including a mobile phone. ''After the Wedding'' () is a 2006 drama film directed by Susanne Bier and starring Mads Mikkelsen and Sidse Babett Knudsen. The film was a critical success and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but lost to ''The Lives of Others''. Plot Jacob Petersen manages an Indian orphanage. With a small staff, he works as hard as he can to keep the orphanage afloat and is personally invested in the young charges—particularly Pramod, whom he has cared for since his birth.
