24K (band)
24K+ (, stylized in all caps) is a South Korean boy band formed by Choeun Entertainment. It currently consists of five members: Kiyong, Imchan, Xiwoo, Yuma and Takeru. The group's original debut took place on September 6, 2012, with their debut mini album ''Hurry Up'', under the group name, 24K. After several lineup changes, the group rebranded as 24K+ on November 4, 2023. History 2012–2013: 4K, ''Hurry Up'', and ''U R So Cute'' Prior to the debut of the group, the acoustic pop sub-unit 4K debuted. Consisting of vocalists Cory, Seokjune, Kisu, and Sungoh, they released ''Rocking Girl'' in June 2012. Conscription In South Korea
Conscription in South Korea has existed since 1957 and requires male citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 to perform compulsory military service. Women are not required to perform military service, but they may voluntarily join the military. Establishment The basis for military conscription in South Korea is the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, which was promulgated on 17 July 1948. The constitution states in Article 39, "All citizens shall have the duty of national defense under the conditions as prescribed by Act." In addition, the conscription is defined and acted by the "Military Service Act" (). Teddy Park
Teddy Park (born Park Hong-jun on September 14, 1978) is a Korean Americans, Korean–American Rapping, rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Park moved to the United States with his family as a young child. When he was 17 years old, Park and his friend Taebin, Danny flew to South Korea during summer vacation to audition for YG Entertainment. Both were signed immediately, and after finishing high school in the States, moved to Korea to pursue music. In 1998, Park debuted in the hip hop music, hip hop group 1TYM with his friend Danny, Jinhwan, and Baekyoung. Together, the group recorded five studio albums with Park as their primary songwriter and producer. After his performing career with 1TYM ended in January 2006, Park became an in-house producer for YG Entertainment and co-founded The Black Label in 2016. ''Peak Time'' () is a 2023 South Korean reality competition show. It aired on JTBC from February 15 to April 19, 2023, every Wednesday at 20:50 ( KST) for the first two episodes before it changed to 22:30 (KST) from the third episode onwards. It was simultaneously broadcast through TV Asahi and Abema in Japan, and TikTok in other parts of the world, and is also available for streaming on TVING in South Korea and on Viki in selected regions. Hosted by Lee Seung-gi, the program provided a stage for already debuted K-pop boy bands to once again prove their skills to audiences outside of South Korea and compete for the "Worldwide Idol" title. TAN (; formerly ; acronym for To All Nations) was a South Korean boy band formed through the MBC survival competition show ''Extreme Debut: Wild Idol'' in 2021. The group was consisted of seven members: Changsun, Jooan, Jaejun, Sunghyuk, Hyunyeop, Taehoon, and Jiseong. They debuted on March 10, 2022, with the extended play ''1TAN''. History Pre-debut: ''The Wild Idol'' and several performances TAN was formed through the survival competition show ''The Wild Idol'', which was aired from September 17, 2021, until December 16, 2021. Park Won-soon
Park Won-soon (; February 11, 1955 or March 26, 1956July 9, 2020) was a South Korean politician, activist, and lawyer. He was the longest-serving mayor of Seoul, from 2011 until his death in July 2020. A member of the Democratic Party of Korea, he was first elected in 2011 and won re-election in 2014 and 2018. He died by suicide in July 2020 following allegations of sexual harassment. Prior to being elected as mayor, Park was a community and social justice activist, serving as a member of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
