22 Dreams
''22 Dreams'' is the ninth solo studio album by Paul Weller. It was released on 2 June 2008. The album was released on double LP and single CD, as well as a deluxe edition CD, featuring a bonus CD with outtakes and extra tracks. Oasis stars Noel Gallagher and Gem Archer feature on the album, as does Ocean Colour Scene guitarist Steve Cradock and Blur guitarist Graham Coxon. The song "One Bright Star" features former member of The Jam, Steve Brookes, on Spanish guitar, the first time the childhood friends had worked together since Brookes left the band before they gained a recording contract, more than 30 years before. The album features Little Barrie and former The Stone Roses member Aziz Ibrahim. The first release from the album was the double a-sided single "Echoes Round the Sun" - featuring Noel Gallagher and Gem Archer from Oasis, and "Have You Made Up Your Mind". Aziz Ibrahim
Aziz Ibrahim (born 19 March 1964) is a British guitarist. He was born in Longsight, Manchester to Pakistani parents on 19 March 1964. He is best known for his work as guitarist with Simply Red, The Stone Roses (post- John Squire) and their former vocalist Ian Brown in whose band he regularly performs – both in the studio and live. He is also a member of the H Band with Marillion's lead singer Steve Hogarth and is involved in the writing of the second H Band album. He has also worked with Paul Weller, Steven Wilson, Asia and contributed to The Players debut album ''Clear the Decks''. Ibrahim's first release was the CD EP ''Middle Road'' featuring guest vocals and guitar from Paul Weller. The Stone Roses
The Stone Roses were an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1983. They were one of the pioneering groups of the Madchester movement in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The band's classic and most prominent lineup consisted of vocalist Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Mani, and drummer Reni. The Stone Roses released their eponymous debut album in 1989. The album was a breakthrough success for the band, receiving widespread critical acclaim, and is regarded by many as one of the greatest British albums ever recorded. Little Barrie
Little Barrie is an English rock group consisting of Barrie Cadogan (vocals, guitar) and Lewis Wharton (bass, vocals). Virgil Howe contributed drums and vocals from 2007 until his death in 2017. Their sound has drawn from a mixture of influences including freakbeat, garage rock, British contemporary R&B, UK R&B, neo-psychedelia, surf rock, krautrock, funk and rock and roll. The classical guitar, also known as Spanish guitar, is a member of the guitar family used in classical music and other styles. Graham Coxon
Graham Leslie Coxon (born 12 March 1969) is an English guitarist, singer and songwriter who came to prominence as a founding member of the rock band Blur. As the group's lead guitarist and secondary vocalist, Coxon is featured on all of Blur's studio discography (although 2003's ''Think Tank'' only features his playing on one album track, plus two B-side tracks, due to his temporary departure from the band during recording sessions for the album). He has also led a solo career since 1998, producing and playing all instrumentation on his solo albums. As well as being a musician, Coxon is a visual artist: he designed the cover art for all his solo albums as well as Blur's '' 13'' (1999). Blur (band)
Blur are an English rock band formed in London in 1988. The band consists of singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James, and drummer Dave Rowntree. Their debut album, ''Leisure'' (1991), incorporated the sounds of Madchester and shoegaze. Following a stylistic change influenced by English guitar pop groups such as the Kinks, the Beatles, and XTC, Blur released the albums '' Modern Life Is Rubbish'' (1993), ''Parklife'' (1994), and '' The Great Escape'' (1995). Ocean Colour Scene
Ocean Colour Scene (often abbreviated to OCS) is an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1989. They have had five top 10 albums, including a number one in 1997. They have also achieved seventeen top 40 singles and six top 10 singles to date. History Early days (1990–1995) Ocean Colour Scene was formed from two other bands disbanding; the Boys (Steve Cradock) and Fanatics (Simon Fowler, Damon Minchella, Oscar Harrison). Fanatics had released an EP titled ''Suburban Love Songs''. The name was decided upon when the band went through books in a library looking for words they liked. OCS signed to !Phffftt Records in 1990. Their first single, "Sway", was released in September 1990. Gem Archer
Colin Murray "Gem" Archer ( '; born 7 December 1966) is an English guitarist and singer. He is best known as a member of the rock bands Oasis, Beady Eye and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, making him and Chris Sharrock the only members of Oasis to have been part of both Liam and Noel Gallagher's post-Oasis projects. He is also known for his work with Heavy Stereo. Archer joined Oasis as second guitarist in November 1999, and contributed to the writing of some of the band's songs. Oasis went on a 15-year hiatus in August 2009, but in November 2009, Liam Gallagher announced he was writing new material with Archer as well as other Oasis members excluding his brother Noel, under the name Beady Eye.
