21st Theater Sustainment Command
The 21st Theater Sustainment Command (21st TSC) provides theater sustainment throughout EUCOM and AFRICOM Areas of Responsibility in support of USAREUR and 7th Army. On order, it deploys to support theater opening, distribution, and Reception, Staging, Onward Movement & enable Integration (RSO&I) functions. It is prepared to support Joint and Coalition forces. History The heritage of 21st Theater Sustainment Command began on 23 June 1965 with the activation of the 1st Support Brigade. The 21st TSC originated as a maintenance support headquarters under Seventh Army Support Command, the brigade's first home was Taylor Barracks, Mannheim, Germany. 16th Sustainment Brigade
The 16th Sustainment Brigade is a Sustainment Brigade, sustainment brigade of the United States Army based at Smith Barracks in Baumholder, Germany. It is a subordinate unit of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command of the Seventh United States Army, Seventh Army. Activated in the summer of 2007, the brigade traces its lineage to the 7th and 16th Corps Support Groups which combined to form it. As the only sustainment brigade active in US Army Europe, the brigade provides sustainment for all of the forces of US Army's commands for Europe and Africa. It saw two deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as the 16th Corps Support Group. It deployed to Iraq for its first tour as a Sustainment brigade from July 2008 to October 2009. The 7th Engineer Brigade of the US Army was activated at Fort Belvoir in 1948. Starting in 1951, while redesignated as the ''7th Engineer Aviation Brigade'', the brigade was responsible for all United States Aviation construction in France, Germany, and Italy. 7th Mission Support Command
The 7th Mission Support Command has operational control of the US Army Reserve units in Europe. The command traces its history to 1956 when the first Army Reserve units (four Army Reserve Schools) were established in Europe at Heidelberg, Frankfurt, and Paris. The 7th ARCOM was activated provisionally in January 1986 and was headquartered at Tompkins Barracks, Schwetzingen, Germany.
