21st Infantry Regiment (Thailand)
The 21st Infantry Regiment, Queen Sirikit's Guard () (ร.21 รอ.) is the elite (special operations capable) mechanized infantry Queen's Guard regiment under the 2nd Infantry Division (Thailand), 2nd Infantry Division, Queen Sirikit's Guard of the Royal Thai Army (RTA). They are trained like special operations forces. The regiment was created in 1950. It is known as the Queen's Guard or ''Thahan Suea Rachini'' (, translated as "Queen's Tiger Soldiers"). It is sometimes referred to as the "Eastern Tigers". The regiment is based in Chonburi (city), Chonburi. United Nations Command (UNC or UN Command) is the multinational military force established to support the South Korea, Republic of Korea (South Korea) during and after the Korean War. It was the first attempt at collective security by the United Nations (UN) after the Charter of the United Nations was signed. Plaek Phibunsongkhram; 14 July 1897 – 11 June 1964) was a Thai military officer and politician who served as the third prime minister of Thailand from 1938 to 1944 and again from 1948 to 1957. He rose to power as a leading member of the Khana Ratsadon, becoming prime minister in 1938 and later consolidating his influence as a military dictator. Rangsit Prayurasakdi, Prince of Chai Nat (; ; 12 November 1885 – 7 April 1951) was a member of the Thai royal family who founded the Public Health Ministry and served as Regent of Thailand. Early life Prince Rangsit was born as the 52nd child of King Chulalongkorn and the second child of '' Chao Chom Manda'' Mom Rajawongse Nueng (great-granddaughter of King Rama II), the 22nd wife of Chulalongkorn. Regimental Combat Team
A regimental combat team (RCT) is a provisional major infantry unit which has seen use by branches of the United States Armed Forces. It is formed by augmenting a regular infantry regiment with smaller combat, combat support and combat service support units.
