20th Filmfare Awards
The 20th Filmfare Awards were held in 1973, awarding the films made in 1972. ''Be-Imaan'' led the ceremony with 8 nominations, followed by ''Amar Prem'' and ''Shor'' with 7 nominations and ''Pakeezah'' with 5 nominations. ''Be-Imaan'' won 7 awards, thus becoming the most-awarded film at the ceremony. Pran, who won Best Supporting Actor for ''Be-Imaan'' refused to accept the award, on the grounds that the Best Music award should have gone to Ghulam Mohammed for ''Pakeezah'' and not Shankar-Jaikishan for ''Be-Imaan''. Kamal Amrohi
Syed Amir Haider Kamal Naqvi (17 January 1918 – 11 February 1993), popularly known as Kamal Amrohi, was an Indian film director and screenwriter. He was also an Urdu and Hindi poet. His Hindi films include '' Mahal'' (1949), '' Pakeezah'' (1972) and ''Razia Sultan'' (1983). He established Kamal Pictures (Mahal Films) in 1953 and Kamalistan Studio in Bombay in 1958. Early life Kamal Amrohi was born in Amroha, United Provinces in British India (present-day Uttar Pradesh) and later took on the name Kamal Amrohi (or Amrohvi). Bindu Nanubhai Desai (born 17 April 1941), better known mononymously as Bindu, is a former Indian actress who was popular in the 1970s. She has acted in over 160 movies in a career that spanned four decades, receiving seven Filmfare award nominations. She is most remembered for her role as Shabnam in ''Kati Patang'' (1970) and for her films opposite Prem Chopra. Bindu made her film debut in 1962, starring in her first movie Anpadh as Kiran. Prem Nath Malhotra, better known as Prem Nath, was an Indian actor and director, who was best known for his works in Hindi films. Nath made his debut with the film ''Ajit'' (1948), and went on to appear in over 100 films throughout his career. He was nominated for three Filmfare Awards, and later retired in 1985. ''Seeta aur Geeta'' () is a 1972 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film, written by Salim–Javed (Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar) and directed by Ramesh Sippy.
