202nd New York State Legislature
The 202nd New York State Legislature, consisting of the New York State Senate and the New York State Assembly, met from January 4, 2017, to December 31, 2018, during the seventh and eighth years of Andrew Cuomo's governorship, in Albany State Senate At the beginning of this Legislature, the Senate had 31 Republicans and 32 Democrats. Dem. Simcha Felder caucused with Republicans. Unsatisfied with their own party's leadership, eight Democrats had formed previously the Independent Democratic Conference which cooperated with the Republicans. In April 2018, the IDC was dissolved and the dissenters returned to the Democratic conference. Subsequently, Rep. Kathy Hochul
Kathleen Hochul ( ; née Courtney; born August 27, 1958) is an American politician serving as the 57th governor of New York since August 24, 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, she is New York's first female governor, as well as the first governor from Upstate New York since Nathan L. Miller became New York’s governor in 1920. After serving on the Hamburg town board and as deputy Erie County clerk, Hochul was appointed Erie County clerk in 2007. She was elected to a full term as Erie County clerk in 2007 and reelected in 2010. Todd Kaminsky is an American attorney and politician from the state of New York. Kevin Parker (New York Politician)
Kevin Parker (born March 6, 1967) is an American politician from the state of New York. He is a member of the New York State Senate representing the 21st district, which comprises portions of the Brooklyn neighborhoods of East Flatbush, Flatbush, Midwood, Ditmas Park, Kensington, Park Slope, and Windsor Terrace. Martin Malavé Dilan (born September 12, 1950) is a former member of the New York State Senate representing the 17th and 18th Senate Districts. Simcha Felder (born December 30, 1958) is an American politician from Borough Park, Brooklyn. He represents the 17th district of the New York State Senate. Felder has been elected to multiple offices as a Democrat, but is known for having caucused with the Republicans during the early part of his New York State Senate tenure. Prior to serving in the State Senate, Felder represented the 44th district in the New York City Council. Toby Ann Stavisky (née Goldhaar, born June 26, 1939) is an American politician serving as a member of the New York State Senate, having held a seat since 1999. José Rafael Peralta (November 10, 1971 – November 21, 2018) was an American politician who served in the New York State Assembly and New York State Senate.
